• Computer software giant Adobe Systems is laying off about a third of its 300 workers at its Preston Street office in Ottawa, the company confirmed.
  
  The job cuts are part of an announced 750 layoffs across Europe and North America as part of a restructuring plan that will see the company focus more on digital media and marketing.
  
  The company, known for its Photoshop and Acrobat software and its Flash multimedia platform, had projected better-than-expected fourth quarter revenue in September.
  
  But on Tuesday it said it was restructuring to move towards more digital products.
  
  The Ottawa location — the company's only Canadian office — focuses on product development, technical services and customer support.

• Just a great place to work. Everyone is really nice and smart and care about what they're doing. Many of the important decisions are taking in the States not locally. Plenty of opportunities for skilled employees. Good training.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• Ok...so i realized that i am shorted on every cheque. Canada labour entitles you to 2 paid 15 minute breaks and one unpaid half hour, in a 8 hour shift. They are not paying me for any. They tell us to swipe in and out on our breaks...ummmm....obvious much!!....I will be telling management about this and if there is no rectification.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• I have worked many jobs in my time, and this is by far one of the best companies I have ever worked for. The management is very helpful, and the company treats its customers so well, so many pro's of working here. although it can get hectic, everyone works so well together and is all very helpful with each other. I would recommend working here to anyone.

• All depends on local management. Organisation is great, very strong financially due to its famous product line (acrobat, dreamweaver, etc). I like it.

• Support is better than at many companies I have worked at. Conditions for work are very good. Many decisions are not taken locally but rather in the US [no big deal though] .
