I worked as an RN for AHS in the past and had left my position to stay home with my young children. I am looking to return to work and have been applying for various positions with AHS for the past 6 months. I have not been invited to even 1 interview. It seems that all the posted positions are only being offered to internal candidates. I am a well experienced RN with nearly 20 years of experience behind me! I also noticed that AHS recently posted an ad in a Calgary newspaper stating that more nurses with AHS need to work full-time. How do they expect to fill any fulltime positions when they won't let any external RN applicants in the door! I'm seriously thinking of just changing careers. Such a waste of nursing talent!
