Aramark is in most of the Universities here in NS, and I've worked at 2 of them so far. They don't train you properly (or in some cases, at all!) yet expect you and your co-workers to work like a well oiled machine. They hire people off the street without a resume or checking references. I worked at one location for almost 2 weeks before the manager asked for my resume and refs. You're treated like crap, there are too many bosses (none of whom seem to communicate with each other), they take every possible short cut resulting in poor food quality and service. Gossip, gossip, gossip. It's worse then high school! Also several arguments and fights between the staff. Sometimes in front of customers. They don't care about a work/family balance, they don't give you any support or understanding and moral couldn't get any lower if it tried. Stay away!!!
