You had better drink the cool aid if you want to do well at the BofC. The Bank is so risk adverse the culture does not allow for any criticism of methods, product, or management. There is a culture of jealousy and tattletaling. Insecure and over-promoted mangers use bullying and gossip to control talented employees. HR supports managers at all costs. Upper management uses the "top 100 employers" rating to keep their heads in the sand. It could be a great place to work - just do not expect excellence or innovation.

There has been good change at the bank, in the past five years .. There is a union if required but like any other federal government organization the benefits are great, I have worked at cida, dnd other government places and our benefits, pension and pay are far superior.
