Bank of Canada

Size of company: Large (More than 500 employees)

Industry: Bank, Insurance, Financial services

  • Horrible experience, as a consultant with over 20 years of experience I cannot stress how horrible it was to work at the Bank of Canada. Their Information Technology section is run by a bunch of morons, while I worked here for just over a year I was exposed to poor leadership, backstabbing and employees just counting down their time. The worst organization I have ever worked.

I left a few weeks ago from this organization, I worked in their cyber branch.

- People and Management are clueless, our leadership is absolutely clueless and could not manage themselves out of a room.
- The Technology branch outside of Cyber is also lead by incompetent managers

I was with the organization for just over 5 years and saw some great people leave (consultants, managers and regulars employees) when asked why the existing leadership would simply dismiss it

Anyone considering this place for employment look elsewhere I did and highly recommended you don’t waste your time..

I left in 2005, and from reading these comments and speaking to employees from the Bank of Canada, seems it’s essentially the same if not worse.
