• Calfrac was a great place to work. If it didn't have management hiding the fact that they allow supervisors to stab other employees and hide it from others. As well I was told if I wanted any training I would have to quit and find another job by the district Manager himself. Until the upper management if fixed in the Clairmont office I cannot recommend working in this base. • Calfrac would be a really good place to work for if they did minor tweaking. Biggest issue I see for field employees is the way they are treated by superiors. You are not treated as an employee or any sort of human being, you are treated as a boot camp recruit. Remember the drill Sargent in Full Metal Jacket?? Well you are Lawrence if you are a field employee. Not sure if the supervisors and crew cabbers take any leadership courses, but maybe they should, because most have no idea how to manage a crew other than yelling. There is good ones too, and we praise them, and you can notice the performance and morale of the crew when that supervisor shows up on lease. • I worked for Calfrac for 3 years before they shut down their pumping services division and I was forced to transfer to the Frac department. The employees who were being transferred were not consulted, they were just told "you are now a member of the Frac team." Up until this point I loved my job and the people I worked with were great. I moved up pretty quick and the pay and raises were frequent. Had I not been transferred to a department I had absolutely no interest in I would still be an employee. However the Frac side is full of monkeys. If you like getting yelled at and shit on all day and can deal with monkeys then it's a department for you. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in Coiled Tubing to apply to Calfrac, the employees in that division are professional and work well together.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• Calfrac is a decent company, but lower to mid level management is completely inept. If you are not one of the chosen few, you get very little work. Double standards for rules run throughout. I would not recommend this employer.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• I have worked for CalFrac for 6 years. Although it has changed over the years as it got bigger it is still a great place to work.

• I was there 4 years out of the southern district we'll say.I recently resingned my position and not due to the calgary management team but the district level.Calfrac is a great company however they need to get a handle on there people running there districts and not always the district managers sometimes freinds and family is not the way to go,it really is to bad because in my opinion its a great company and would recommend anyone to give it a try.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• I'd like to say that i was an employee at one time, and now that i am not, there is some regrett. There has been some very big changes over there, upper mang, and lower field employees, these changes should have been done long ago! but it took these economic times to open Calfracs eyes and get rid of these dirt bags. calfrac is one of the top Service companies in alberta that has really shown how too weather a storm, compared to Bj, Hall, sanjel, etc... They may have cut alot but have also called back alot, and made new employees also, The benifits at Calfrac are better than the rest, social functions are the best for all ,family encluded.If employees have to work they try to make it up to them. As far as negativity there is negativty every where, in the Frac and coil at all companys! So as far as the eye can see and the ear can hear, this company is the onlyone ripping the tread off their tires! Calfrac will be the one too weather oil patch storms and finacial storms, so if you are out there thinking that u are employed with the best Fracturing company in alberta really think again, who's really providing the stability in the work force!!!   read complete rating Hide complete rating
