Management is removing the EDO (Earned Day Off) program and reducing the hourly wage of union employees (only). No longer good work/life balance or a supportive employer interested in developing employees. All education and professional support eliminated. In the interest of saving a few pennies, the City of Edmonton is destroying engagement. Pension is still good, we will see how long that lasts.

It's a fact that Union (CSU52) actually works with the City management when it comes to layoff, reduce employee benefits, dealing with whistle blowers, etc. They may seem to represent memberships, but essentially they only care about the partnership with the management.
