Great pay and excellent benefits. You also have the ability to move up and a fast pace. You also have the option to transfer to a different job if you are unhappy. The coworkers and supervisors are very helpful and will teach you all the skills you will need to be successful at this job.

I'm guessing the poster above me it management faking like a Union guy. At CN you have to have grade 12 as a minimum, and most of the union guys have some tech training beyond that. Still it's sad to see that managers feels they have to to lie to get you in the door. Most of the managers will call the union guys lazy. But the opposite is true, many of the bosses are the ones that couldn't hack the hard work. It's easy to sit behind a desk.

This place totaly sucks aSS to work for us union workers who dont want to work very hard...don't do it if you're lazy like me! I have been with CN for 3yrs now, and the only reazon I stick around this place around is that the paycheck is fairly good for someone who does'nt have a high scholl diploma, and they have a penssion plan (if I make it that long). Even with the very good pay, they job is seriously dangerous, any day you could go to work and not return, they dont follow the union contract. I joined because I thought you didnt have to work when you were protected by the Union, but they are making me work anywayz.

Looks like the terminated stooge is back folks - dumped by CN and nothing to do but come here and complain!
