  • Have to keep on doing something and very quickly. Lift heavy boxes, climb ladders, put out stock quickly if not on cash. Lift heavy boxes at 7am from skid on truck male or female. If you're not on cash, you're putting out stock according to Plan O Gram. If it's not right, or not fast enough, get yelled at and points against you until you get fired. Too much expectation and not enough time to get stuff done. Exhausting. Have to sweep floors, do garbage, clean bathrooms, back room. Your a Gopher if new employee and get the awful jobs. Expected to know how to do everything with very little training. If you mess anything up you're out the door without being told what you did wrong because you're very replaceable.

    Not enough staff to cover huge lines of customers. They'll use you until you're not needed anymore, then let you go without warning. Employees are all expendable. No opportunity for advancement. Doesn't matter how nice you are to customers, if you don't work your feet off constantly you get fired. So customer service is on the bottom of the list.
    Backstabbing and favoritism from bosses. Get yelled at in front of customers bc they think they're better than you. Typical low-life blue collar workers who think they're special if they're a boss/manager/assistant m or key holder. Try to discuss concerns and you'll get fired bc you can't rock the boat. Dollarama is a horrible company that could care less about their employees and they only care about money. Would not recommend applying.

Dollarama treats their employees like slaves and does not respect them. The head office doesn't even know how badly the store managers and assistant managers treat the employees and doesn't know why the employees get fired unless they're making up something to tell them. You don't get a performance review, don't get trained well enough yet expectations of your work are outrageous. It's totally exhausting. There's favoritism from the store managers and they'll fire you for small things you didn't know you did wrong instead of telling you. They keep score then let you go without warning. Their bullies who think they're better than everyone else and back stab you. The company only care about money. Not people.
