• I believe all the other posts already covered how bad is to work on this company and how poor prepared are the management. But what really hurts is how this company is destructive to people and families. I worked in that s***hole for several years with sleep deprivation, high levels of stress, not seeing my family. I lost a good amount of my health and my family into that s***hole. I see the management there just as bunch of old people who favor between themselve, and whoever they sympathize with. They are in their comfort zone and do not give a s*** to the company, the business or the people. • My experience there was not good. I have worked in a bad environment or two, this one still shocked me. Management lacks understanding in developing software. Developers seem to be the constant blame. You could work 24 hrs a day and would not be enough to salvage the situation. • This company is getting worse and worse. They abused employee by forcing them work extra hours without pay, out sourcing job by bring in a lot of cheap labors from India and Mexico remotely or onsite. Threating you to do more. Some of the guys I know consistently work 50 to 70 hours per week without any compensation.
  Starting micro managing employees and see what else can squeeze you.
  No training at all and force you to pass certificate on your own time if not will facing lay-off consequence.
  Put you in front of tough customers even you are not trained on the subject.

• Many good employees have left due to the terrible mgmt. They expect the best but pay people the bare minimum. Same with their infrastructure. Outdated system and computers. No feedback (unless it's to blame you), no leadership, lack of ongoing training and rules/expectations are never consistent. They treat people like children because they hire children from poor countries. Mgmt takes no ownership in their decisions. Things have gotten worse in the past few years and many people are looking for a way out. Only apply if you feel you have no other options. And even then...

• Mediocre company and embarrassed to be part of it. Third rate people in management are a guarantee for failure. The people have been a joke with all the changes. Company is focused on continuing to fail.

• Massive random lay offs begin at Ericsson as the company is not getting new projects or responsibilities. Major reason is strong and better business strategy of Huawei for which Ericsson is simply no match.
  
  Turnover rates are very high, people leave as soon as they get the chance. Also management in my area does not behave ethically and puts employees in very awkward situations.

• I am currently working in the montreal location, and I cannot recommend this as an employer to anyone - unless you enjoy working in an environment that tolerates (and encourages) favoritism. Of all the places I've worked at over the years, the degree of dishonesty, favoritism and politics being played in this environment is legendary. Unless you enjoy being treated like excrement - whilst being low wage for your troubles - I would recommend working at any other IT\telecom company, rather than Ericsson.

• I have never, ever seen a place that treats their employees this way. Unless you are willing to check your self respect at the door, do NOT consider working for these people. The work environment is miserable. I have seen alot of good, smart, hard working people get let go because they will not trade their self respect for peanuts. Honestly though, if you don't mind being treated unfairly, and can bite your tongue about it, this place could be bearable for a short while. It's mind blowing. Will be giving my notice soon. Unless of course I get turfed before I have a chance. I've never seen anything like this place.

• This is not a company I would recommend to anyone. They are very into hierarchy and believe in a bullying method of management rather than growth of employees. They are trigger happy and are known to frequently go on random firing sprees with no cause rather than developing the skills of employees through training and correction.
  
  This is the lowest score I could ever imagine giving a place of employment and am sad to have ever, in my 20 years in the workforce, called it my workplace. What a sad day to see what was once a heartfelt company, taken into such a dark place. Ericsson is a has been that has no respect in the telecom industry.

• If respect and appreciation of the work you do is important - well then Ericsson is not for you.
  Management is very unappreciative of their staff and it shows by how poorly they treat them. Managers frequently don't pull their own weight and expect their staff to pick up the slack, and if they don't, it's the employee that is rudely reprimanded, not the manager.
  
  And at the end you'll get it by one of the frequent random layoffs and you'll be gone. Failed third world company.

• * I had never been so stressed with a job in my life. Since quitting people in my personal life have noticed that I'm myself again. If you value your mental stability, run! My biggest regret with ericsson is staying there as long as I did and becoming the snap show stress case that I was. There are some great people within the company but management has zero interesting in bettering working conditions for the staff.

• I have been ericsson canada since 1999, in the early 2000, it is not a bad company, but now just become a terrible place to work, no plan, constantly layoff and constantly hiring( yes they are keeping hiring, however when you get offer from them, be preparing you can be fired any time for no reason) work over time but no overtime payment. definitely no recommend   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• I worked for Ericsson for many years. From 2001 to 2015. Year by year it went downhill. As others have said, they rule by fear and intimidation
  
  I know what many people think. This guy (and other people posting here) is just a disgruntled guy who got laid off
  
  To be honest, Im happy I got laid off, I got a package and was waiting for that day. I needed to out of that mess of a company
  
  I can confirm 95% of the comments here are spot on. No raises, no advancement no matter how hard you work or how well you deliver.
  
  The bosses and directors are mostly loud mouth bullies and just want to show "who is boss"
  
  Students beware, they will pay you low, over work you, abuse of your inexperience in the job force, promise you all kinds of possibilities. Only to wake up a few years later that they only wanted to use you and it was all lies
