I work in one of Golder's smaller offices in BC (around 60 employees) and due to the small size, optimal location, and friendly environment, it's quite an ideal place to work. Starting salary is good with annual review and chances for advancement. Benefits are fantastic, including three weeks vacation to start. If you join Golder and are unhappy in your current location, there is opportunity to transfer to a different office (the smaller offices tend to be more "friendly" and "personal" if that's what you prefer). You can also participate in the employee exchange program and explore somewhere new. Training is available throughout your career at Golder and their Help Desk is excellent. Most positions are fast-paced and high-stress, but that's to be expected with consulting. They make up for this with vacation time, coffee breaks, a daily 1hr lunch break, and the option to convert OT into extra vacation time. Overall, I give Golder 5 stars and hope to stay with them until retirement.
