Golder Associates has currently cut 300 jobs as of September 2013 in Canada. Management did not provide any honest information, they were constantly telling staff that everything was fine, and that it was 'normal'. Instead, many people were let go without any kind of notice. There was an appropriate way to handle this - and they clearly did not. This is an engineering firm, so expect old-school style in internal communication, & top down management. This depends on case by case, but this is a very male-dominated, old school environment.
