Working in Greggs Nanaimo location seems to be alot beter then all the other locations metioned, as Managment is great, supportive, open, and all around positive. granted there are somethings that are alittle off, but what are you looking for, nerveuna? Most of the staff have families and we work around them. We plan things out in advance, and there is no problems. Someone's Grandmother died a while ago, and no questions asked, they were allowed to go, and we all chipped in to back them up. we have a great team and help each other out. I think that anyone that has a problem with Greggs, is just looking for a problem, and it wouldn't matter where they were working. And to all those "spies" watching us, Go Nanaimo!!

Complaining - what Greggs company are you working at last posting. You do not get more then 3 days (appointments / bereavement /sick time etc.) for the entire year off. If they could get away with this it would be ZERO. You have to use your holidays if the 3 days run out, which they will very quickly unless you have no family and never get sick.

... Greggs pay by salary, therefor, time off is paid for... You get paid if you are there or not. Stop complaining to complain.
(...) with my grandfather living in calgary, if he died tomorrow, it would take me a day and a half to get there with my kids in tow, then I would have to come back. so ya I am planning on using some of my 3 weeks vacation that they give everyone off the bat, to help my family set his estate in order. Otherwise we would drive into calgary gas up and drive back to get back in time.

Wow - Im shocked with some of the experience's people have so kindly spoke about. I worked at Gregg's in Vancouver for over a year and really enjoyed all aspects of the company. During my time in Langley, I was able to participate in the growing business. The management at Gregg's there in Langley were probably the best I have ever worked for, I was able to give 110% and was given a "pat on the back" when doing so. Not everything for me is monetary driven. I always wanted to be a part of a growing business and Gregg's provided that for me. For all those negative people that talked about how hard it is to work for Gregg's, probably have a problem with one big thing in this world......"Structure." If you can't fit into a business with structure, you’re never going to make it in this world. (...) Well, I just wanted to let everyone else reading all these negative comments that Gregg's is an excellent place to work and grow. Its a growth opportunity for everyone; you just have to work at it!!! I was sad when I had to leave to go back to Ontario to look after my mother..... If i ever come back, I know where I want to work.
