Size of company: Large (More than 500 employees)

Industry: Retail Trade

  • I, today, just got fired from La Vie en Rose (....). La vie en rose is an awful place to work. (...). I am 9 days away from the end of my 3 months probation, I averaged about 150.00$ an hour in sales (my sales goals were $68.00/hr) and the reasoning I got fired was that they were too overstaffed on their full time staff so they had to let me go. I came into work today and went in the backroom and saw that the schedule was sitting on the table for next week and my name was not on it.. (...). I can't stand this company, I worked so hard to be treated like this. I would not reccommend this job to ANYONE!

Happened to me too. I was hired as stock but they always had me on the floor when it was really busy. Which was most of the time because I worked in an outlet. I did really good on the floor. And my sales were pretty high. And I'm about a month or so away from my probation and they fired me because there isn't enough progress with the stock.... Well I can't be in two places at once. Management has really unrealistic goals about the stores. And they mess around with the sign in and out times. Improper breaks also. Overall.. Don't work here. Unless you want to be worked to the bone for nothing.

Horrible Horrible store, a similar thing happened to me as well..except I was 4 days away from the end of my probation. I worked my butt off and all my managers acknowledged it. Head Office is just filled with heartless drones. All they care about is numbers. You are nothing but a number if you work here. They are a bunch of fake want to be Victoria Secrets. DO NOT WORK HERE EVER!
