The marriott is a pretty good company to work for in general, but once again that is made possible by the in house management team. there is a cronic firing problem, not sure if this is throughout the chain but in BC that is the case. If you so much as breath wrong, you will be fired, and as they say, there will be people lining up to fill your job when you are fired. Nice moral, but could be just hotel specific, as for unions, agree on that one, they are so afraid of the word union, they attempt to follow what they "think" a unions would do, and it turns into a mess. Unfortunetly the management positions are usually educated people, but wouldnt be helped by a union so dont fight for it, and the lower jobs, mostly uneducated and can be snowed by the senior management not to talk about a union.
