Motovan Corporation

http://www.motovan.com/

Size of company: Medium (50 - 499 employees)

Industry: Motor Vehicules (sales, parts, services)

  • It was great for the first 6 months - they promised Heaven and Earth - medical and dental. The person that thinks he is in charge is actually NOT. Head office is in charge - run away from this company as fast AS POSSIBLE. They lay off long time Canadian Workers only to hire immigrants who will accept low pay. The Richmond branch are happy to exploit immigrants and to pay overtime and use people until they feel it not necessary to pay overtime. If you want to work for this company at $10.00 an hour or less, this is what you can expect. Immigrants do not deserve to make shit pay, not to mention born and raised Canadians!! Avoid this company, as they are contributing to the low pay bullshit and ghettoization of immigrants that is contributing to low wages in Canada.

RE: "... they are contributing to the low pay bullshit and ghettoization of immigrants that is contributing to low wages in Canada."

Low wages exist because YOU the consumer demand low prices and will only buy items at the lowest prices regardless where they are made. Therefore corporations have no choice but to have their products made overseas where wages are lower or pay lower wages here, otherwise they would have to charge more for their products and Canadians will not buy their products even if it means keeping Canadians employed in good paying jobs. The next time you are in Wal Mart buying "Made in China" products think about how you are not contributing to the Canadian economy.
