Non permanent staff are given very little training with high expectation of doing extra work on own time. Unclear expectations. Non permanent staff are continually cutting corners on quality in order to please upper managment in order to preserve their jobs.

The recent scandal is not atypical of the university. There is a lot of abuse of power (however little power) and bad politics. A lot of cronyism when classes are assigned. A lot of disrespect for the sessionals from the permanent faculty. The politics became worse after the budget cuts.
