Despite the fact that Notel is going through a big change and people being laid off, it is a great company to work for. Maybe it was the right thing to do. Why hire 3 people when you can train one person to do all those 3 jobs and pay them more. It will come out less than paying 3 employees' salaries. Besides that, the base paid is above average, working hours are flexible as long as you get the job done on time, and vacation time off is awesome. Nortel was the first big employer that gave me a chance to shine and I will never forget that. Although I disagree to top management's decisions on some issues, I believe in my heart that Nortel will become one of the best companies to work for in the near future.
