Another end of year and another reorganization. Short sighted, unreasonable, putting inability to get coverage and to forecast properly onto the backs of the sales force again. Very little autonomy, very high personal time demands, no work/life balance. You are either a compliant little soldier (referred to as a "Novartian") or you are deemed to be low potential. They talk about autonomy and independance to "run your territory like your own business". NOT the case. Integrate or you are out. I was warned by the recruiter going in that this place can ruin your career, self-confidence and passion for this industry. I should have listened. Would love to get out of the "Evil Empire", but recruiters tell me that Novartis people are not highly regarded by other employers as most employers don't want to have to tell their employees what to do with every minute of their day. Have to go do #2, better check with head office...
