• Pfizer Canada is the bottom of the pharma barrel. I agree with other reviewers who say that this used to be a good company (never great, just good). But that was 5-10+ years ago. Now we are stuck at a company where anyone good has left for greener pastures and better opportunities. Those of us remaining are on the hunt to move (but a bad economy makes opportunities scarce). • This company is just sad. It was once great and is now horrible. No great drugs to market and no great talent in its headoffice staff. As another person said, lots of PR, but nothing to back it up. Marketing department is a joke. Sales department is better (but not a lot). Time for another reorg. • This is a company in need of change - BADLY. The atmosphere is terrible. No leadership. No integrity. On the practical side, the new offices are horribly unproductive. • There is no teamwork or cooperation here. The atmosphere is terrible as well. The management is not about getting results, but instead about getting ahead and creating careers for themselves. • Pfizer used to be a very different employer. Things now are not what they were. The staff here is tired and fed up with reorganizations. People are just coasting through their days hoping to 'get a package'. I find coming into work here sad.   read complete rating Hide complete rating

• This is a company all about IMAGE. They run TV commercials and do a lot of PR, but the company does not live up to this PR. A very poor business model. A very dissatisfying and demotivating place to work. Now we are squeezed into unworkable, unproductive CUBICLES! No one dares to say how much THEY HATE IT. When outside the office, we ALL complain about it. This company believes its own PR. They do not live the "Pfizer Values". They just love to talk about those values. • Pfizer is an interesting company. The Canadian operation has outstanding people who, as a whole, try very hard to make the company a great place to work. People are treated very very well. This said, the international leadership is taking the company in a very bad direction with more and more company resources dedicated to process and compliance rather than doing the job. After a couple of beers, even senior management will tell you that what is going on is very damaging to the organization. This focus on process and compliance creates a very politicized environment were people are terrified to break rules thereby killing innovation. • Don't know what the other guys were smoking.
  This place bites, unless you're a suckhole and speak french. Amazed at how rude H/O people are yapping along in french when plenty of english people who don't understand the language are in the same room or meeting. Reactive management. • I have worked for the company for more than 15 years and have had a wondeful experience. There have been several opportunitiies to advance and grow. Even times when I elected not to take a job I was offered, I have never felt I was compromised by my decision. Certainly, as the roles have increased in responsibility so has the stress, but this should be expected in any company. • Down sizing over the last couple of years has affected morale. Some management decisions regarding who was et go and who was retained were difficult to understand. retention I feel is an issue as lost of major product is on the horizon.   read complete rating Hide complete rating
