I currently am employed as a "supervisor" at one of the most poorly ran stores in alberta. Not only have I never had a review it took me getting into a verbal altercation with this store manager to get my wage bumped to $12.00 an hour. I have been in the retail industry for 12 years now and never have I ever seen things done in such a disrespectful manor as I have at my location. Our staff turn over is by far the most disturbing part of this when I first started two years ago they had an amazing group of people running the store with ease, none of which work for this terrible employer anymore. We were informed that we didn't have an HR department we could contact until I personally did some digging as im sure they were just trying to cover up all the bullshit that goes on. I'm sure many can relate to this amongst many other things such as unfair pay, unfair scheduling, undermining and disrespectful employers,no staff meeting/parties, no gratitude towards staff, employers not aware of who even works for them I could go on and on im sure. If your looking for a job at an SDM id suggest going else where before you get sucked into there poor managerial skills that aren't worth your time and energy
