Pensions are based on permananent full time status paid out at 1.3 percent of salary per year worked as permanent fulltime. The key words are " fulltime permanent" which by the time one gets the golden pension they may have to work for 45-60 years to be able to collect that golden pension benefit . It's an illusion!!! let's assume you began at the age of 25, were on call for 5 years then hired as part-time permanent for another 5 years...you could collect that golden pension when you are 70 years old...or leave ealier with a lot less money then the assumed golden pension. get the picture !!

Postal workers were offered time off instead of pay increases throughtout the 80's while private companies enjoyed hefty salaries in comparison. No 4 weeks of vactaion to start. Starting employees are on call for up to 8 years before they are hired and may work 30 hours per week or not at all and sometimes a couple days per month. Try and raise a family on that !!!

These are lies! We get three weeks of annual to start. All benefits that CPC wants to take away and were fought for by postal workers through strikes and negotiations!
