Just came off of Contacting for almost 3 years. Saw this company rotate thru about 15 employees. They have change the Pay structure From Peace rate. To Guaranteed 40 hrs pay/week.... But get this ... your PAY is a COMPETITION between all the other contractors. Your "Scorecard" gives you a Letter grade that all depends on the other Techs score card.... Now if this JUST HAD Quality of Install, Time install took, customer satisfaction.. that's great! But nope.... Sales and Extra charges are worth a whopping %30 of that scorecard (Telus' expectation is for you to always be above 85%). So if you dont make at least 1 NEW sale (not upgrading existing services) every 2 weeks. You get paid $20/hr. Basically a $1200 cheque for that week. And your competing against EVERY CONTRACTOR IN EVERY CITY.... Technicians are dropping like flies, and the only ones getting hired are people brand new to the industry with little to no experience.
