I work in dairy department. I'm 17 years old, and still in high-school. I've been scheduled for 42 hour weeks(I'm a part time staffer, and that's OVER full time), involuntarily been put on night shifts during weekends, and have had two workplace related injuries due to the unorganized and unsafe environment that is the dairy cooler. Three times I have had to scrape out the rotten milk and eggs from the bottom of the dairy cooler. If I wasn't in dire need of the money for university, I would've left to find another employer a long time ago.
As a long term adult employee, please let me apologize for your less than grand work experience. Loblaw doesn't care that you're a kid trying to better yourself, but lots of us here at store level do! Keep your head down, don't make eye contact, save what little money you make, and stay in school! Oh, and if you think the Dairy cooler is bad - how'd you like to work in Seafood?
Try cleaning out the bone cans in the meat department.
