I've worked for this company for 24 years. It is now an absolutely horrible company to work for now. They are flipping all Local 1000a stores. Which means a reduction in benefits and it's now mandatory for everyone to be available from open to close on Saturdays and Sundays. oh, and now we're open till 11 pm. Also if you take the buy down I lose $4.00 an hour. If. The company went bankrupt tomorrow I wouldn't shed any tears.
Absolutely third rate setup to work in ... leave when you can or stay far far away from this nightmarish place !!
I haven't decided what to yet. But, the more I think about it, the more I wonder why anyone would now EVER want to work there. It's hard to leave because some of my co-worker are like family. I hope to someday read the company goes broke. Am I bitter? Hell Ya!
Maybe a buyout would be a better option. Hard to say, but consider that life goes on and there's much better out there.
