I worked 21 years for the company.My department was overhauled and a new VP was put in place replacing a man who was highly respected, had integrity and a wealth of experience in the industry.I had never met the new VP until he severed me less than 2 weeks on the job.My package was great, I have moved on to a bigger, better company and enjoy shopping at Loblaws' competitors now.
It sounds like the same vp that overhauled our department .It was a numbers game to this now svp
VPs are turned over every couple of years, especially when you're someone who stick his head out of the gopher hole and tries to do the right thing for the company and his staff - I should know, I was one. Almost every VP in my department has been let go. It indeed is a numbers game repeated over and over and over again.
Yes I have had 8 vp's in 7 years. Before that I had 1 boss for 7 years
Happened to me too. My boss was a VP for a number of years with wide ranging experience and integrity, but was booted out due to politics. Then they got me a month and a half later. Shitty place to work unless you're and SVP or higher.
