I have worked at CN from about 2004 to 2008 when I damaged my back. My supervisor begged and pleeded that I not make a claim. So like a stupid fool I did not do it. I was not hurt all that bad at the time, however a few months past and the pain was getting worse and worse. I went off on medical leave. I have not been let back to work and they will never help me return to work. They wont give me my ROE and will not put me back to work. I helped them and in return I have been ignored. I have permant nerve damage to my spin now for the rest of my life. I can not pay my bills and can not get another job as I have been trying for awhile now. CN is a good company SO/SO there is alot to be left to be fixed but overall it has its benifits, but they will treat you like dirt. Pay is good, treatment is horrible. Do not ever turn your back on the management, they hate that they are not unionized and hate the workers because they are unionized. The union is also a joke, I paid my fees and my buties and do you think for one second they would help me get a job close to home or work that I am able to do. NO.......

Take it all with a grain of salt what people say. Work here for yourself and you too will either bocome a valued loved employee and love working there or they will screw you over the second you are no good to them. They practice saftey hard core, so either you will become the mule or the person who will follow the rules. If your the mule you will do as they say and work no matter what. OR you will follow the rules and get on the managements bad side due to restrictions. There is no winning with the company. Your dammed if you do and dammed if you dont, but at least your getting paid well to deal with the buckets of BS the company has to offer.
