I was given a 90 day unpaid suspension for trusting the instructions from my conductor. He backed me through a red light which I could not see. I did not break any rules and conductor admitted it was a mistake on his part. I was still given 90 days. I had a perfect work record for 34 years and enjoyed my work but after going thru this process I have no respect for this company anymore.
So quit probably had 40 demirits
awfull to treat a guy like that after 34 years of good service. sounds like trust is not there among workers, getting yelled at and everything so confrontational.
Kevin?
34years?
family plannin!!!! these goofs love when everyone is packing 50 demerits so your scared to fart.
cn starts hunting you after 25 years service to try and force guys to quit and then they pay less benefits. talk to people that have been there and they will tell you same.
I heard about what happened. I dont know how your conductor didnt realize the signal was a stop signal. I too am a victim of a mistake my partner made. Im held out of service and probably gonna be fired because my partner ran a red as I was on the tail end of the consist as my partner claims she did not see the light. I dont have my 90 tours in either so Im SOL. This company is ran by stupid management. I dont agree that the whole crew gets shit on when only 1 person makes the mistake.
