Work at RCSS. First we were a Zehrs, that's when we were a good company. Now, it stinks! Company continues to cut hours. Still expected to do same job in less time. This is crap. Store managers do nothing, get bonuses while part time or full time unionized co-workers do all the work. Walmart would treat you better.

I came to Loblaws because I lost my career recently and needed something to do while I got back on my feet. The warm body hiring policy is a double edge sword, but it lets you pickup some quick work fast, but it also means you will work with a lot of useless people.

Almost every week we hear of more good employees, long term and short term leaving this hell hole for greener pastures.

Soon this company will be run by a bunch of inexperienced, non English speaking imports who think working 3 jobs at minimum wage is a proper way of life.

Figure that one out..................thanx Galen Jr.

Why are there so many holes in the aisles with no product? They store I normally shop in, well the quality of the product is pretty bad. 2nd rate product at a high price for the most part. I agree with other posters that this company has gone down the toilet. IT used to be a good place to work.

I worked 21 years for the company.

My department was overhauled and a new VP was put in place replacing a man who was highly respected, had integrity and a wealth of experience in the industry.

I had never met the new VP until he severed me less than 2 weeks on the job.

My package was great, I have moved on to a bigger, better company and enjoy shopping at Loblaws' competitors now.

Communication is extremely poor and you are luckly to see a 2% pay increase each year. The bonus structure is also very poor. I worked for Loblaws (Satan) for 4 years. I was also on the Union committee. On my shift, one union member's wife had a misscarrige at 7 months. The union member called the senior supervisor to ask him for some time off. The supervisor obliged him by giving him a weeks holidays. When I caught wind of this, I asked management to re-inburse his holidays, as the death of a child was not a holiday....

Edmonton warehouse and supporting management have created an atmosphere of dictatorship unlikely to change. Many of the comments are true that relate to people being treated badly. When management hired a professional manager that made true changes, they let him go and kept the old time dictators. Accidents have been directly related to a poor training process and concerns from trainers...

You get no respect , to the company you are a non -person . As long as you keep the customers coming in and out of the doors and the money is coming in for them they are happy. But what about us?

Maplegrove in Cambridge has some serious problems, not only in the warehouse but in transport as well, if management would get off their ass, and stop playing favorites with people like the (Kitchener guys) then maybe the place would run better.
